In a town with four major country music stations and one hip/hop rap station, The Rob Dues Band is somewhat of an anomaly in College Station, Texas. The blues/funk/pop trio plays anything from the John Butler Trio, to Sublime, to maybe even Justin Timberlake after a few drinks. That's not counting the originals, of course: people have said that vocalist/guitarist Rob Dues' creative songwriting style is a mix between Dave Matthews, John Mayer, Los Lonely Boys, and Sting.

Rob grew up learning from musicians such as Dave Matthews, Metallica, John Butler Trio, Monte Montgomery, John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Jimi Hendrix, which have all influenced the group's intricate melodies. Bassist Michael Adams brings funky/jazzy bass licks similar to those of Flea and John Paul Jones, and takes other musical influences from Paul McCartney, Dvorak, Soulive, and Gruvis Malt. Drummer Brad Roberson prefers to play with a simple and hard-hitting attitude, yet can't help but embellish like his heroes: Carter Beauford, John Bonham, and Vinnie Paul Abbott.

The band has performed in College Station and Bryan at Zapato's Cantina, Fitzwilly's Bar and Grille, Murphy's Law, La Bodega, Revolutions Cafe and Bar, Stafford Main Street, Village Cafe, Wine Styles, and at various private parties. They have also headlined at the Ruta Maya in Austin, Texas. Since the first gig in the summer of 2009, they have scheduled, promoted, and played shows almost every weekend without the help of a booking agency. Local radio stations such as KEOS 98.1 and KANM 1580 have invited them to play live on air, and promote the band frequently.

Released in June 2009 by Stormy Cooper Media: "Lost Connection," recorded with then-drummer Travis Holland, was the group's first professionally-recorded album. Stormy is the bassist for Texas Country artist Roger Creager, and deserves major credit and thanks for his invaluable advice during the production and recording of the 11-track CD during March 2009.

We love sharing our music and sincerely thank you for all the support.
